What We’re Eating

Can you believe we’re already looking at the last week of June? It’s good being deep in summer. Swimming in the iced coffee, watching the garden grow daily, staying up late on weekdays and later on weekends. It’s kinda crazy that it’s still light out at 10pm, even though we know that the days are getting shorter now. We noticed in particular driving back from our family wedding Saturday night. The sky’s pink-ish glow against the rolling fields was so pretty and poetic. Though I think I always see the poetic…

Garden Update: I’m hoping to have tomatoes in another week or so! Also, when we came home from yesterday’s activities, I noticed that the cucumber has climbed into the tomatoes and it looks like the tomato plant has big yellow flowers because of it. Kinda funny. Oh, and the strawberries are doing great and I’ve decided to let them take over the one raised bed they’re in. You can never have enough homegrown strawberries!

This week is a busy one. Lots of writing to be done, lots of responsibilities on the calendar, lots of normal life to keep up with in between. But I’m looking forward to some family time and another IKEA trip with Olivia on Saturday! Also, this menu is pretty stellar. Though, is any menu that includes burgers un-stellar? I don’t think so.

Monday: Breakfast Burgers and Fries
Tuesday: In The Pantry
Wednesday: Crock Pot Meatballs and Taters (leftover from last week)
Thursday: Biscuits and Gravy
Friday: Chips and Dip
