What We’re Eating

Good morning! Can you believe it’s the last full week of July already? This month has just flown by! How was your weekend? Ours was wonderful. I got lots of quality time with our new couch and I found some antique prints at this neat antique store and we had burgers and defeated a really hard level fighting Jedi on Star Wars Battlefront II. It was a lovely way to spend the weekend. I’m finally getting the hang of this new bullet journaling thing so I’m anticipating this week being much more organized and less stressful. I can do anything with a little bit of pretty washi tape!

The menu this week is a very simple one. Basically every day is “In The Pantry” day because I’ve all but depleted my grocery budget this month. So this week’s grocery trip is essentials only. Dearest Carl got us some sweet corn this weekend though so I’ve been trying to figure out how to work it into every meal, party due to budget and partly because it’s just the best. Also, my tomato plant is heavy with green tomatoes and I’m hopeful that we might get a ripe one or two this week. And yes, we’re still getting cucumbers in case you were wondering…

Monday: I’m out to dinner with some church ladies so Dearest Carl gets a sandwich.
Tuesday: In The Pantry
Wednesday: Tuna Melts and Corn on the Cob
Thursday: Pancakes
Friday: Burgers and French Fries
