Chicago Travels

No doubt you’ve heard me mention that this September will be our 5th anniversary. Since it’s rather a big occasion, we’ll be going to Chicago for a long weekend! We plan on staying in the city overnight on our anniversary and then meeting up with my sister-in-law and her husband (who have an anniversary the weekend before ours!) for a fun filled Saturday of exploring downtown Chicago and then spending the rest of the weekend with our nieces and nephews. Dearest Carl and I have never really experienced downtown Chicago before so while we know a few of the must visit places (the bean, Navy Pier, etc.) I want more suggestions. If you’ve been to Chicago, share your perfect day in the city, including your favorite restaurants, shops, parks and of course, bookstores. I’m looking for a good ol’ fashioned argument in the comments over what place serves the best pizza. Go.

You *have* to go to Giordano’s for the best Chicago-style pizza! My husband and I went to Chicago a few years back and were so thankful when a friend who lives in Chicago tracked us down and took us there. Delicious! Aside from pizza, the bean, and Willis Tower, we also had a great time at all the museums. Have fun! 🙂
