Do you ever get stuck in a lip rut? You keep reaching for the same trusty chapstick over and over, year after year. I always have a tin of Rosebud Salve around (or one of it’s sisters). But I need something else for date nights and Sunday morning church. After some trial and error, I’ve come across a few lip crushes that solve every makeup whim in my life. Here’s what I’m wearing lately (from left to right):
Revlon’s Balm Stain in Adore: This lip crayon is my most recent purchase and I’m loving it so so much. It’s a deep red but not so much to be oxblood. (I’m actually wearing it in the picture on the right.) A perfect addition for the coming holiday months.
NYC Lip Crayon in South Ferry Berry: This lip crayon is what got me on the lip crayon bus in the first place. It’s a very bright vibrant red color and the perfect texture for me (not too waxy or too matte). If you want a red lip for the holidays, definitely try this out.
Burt’s Bees Vanilla Bean Lip Balm: I always have a stick of Burt’s Bees in my purse and so far, this one is my favorite. It smells warm and does what it’s supposed to do!
Revlon’s Balm Stain in Smitten: So the product picture looks red but this balm stain is a very pretty magenta shade. Also, for some reason this particular shade really got the stain part so it works extremely well! I only have to apply it once and while the balm part wears off, I have to use makeup remover to get the color off at the end of the day. It’s great!
These days, all four of these are riding around in my purse and I use them regularly. It’s so fun to add a bold lip on top of your cozy autumn attire and nowadays it feels uniquely me.
What lip crushes are in your purse? Have you tried the lip crayons?
