Ahh Friday! We’ve had quite a festive week over here, even if we were pretty busy. I spent a day making Christmas candy for our neighbors and listening to podcasts and Christmas music. We went downtown with my family for Starbucks and lights gawking. My sister and I went to dinner just because. I made homemade cinnamon dolce syrup that will probably be gone before the new year. It was one of those productive and wonderful weeks.
This weekend is the one everyone’s been waiting for! Dearest Carl has today half off so amidst his Christmas prep, he’ll be helping me get the house ready for our cocktail party tonight. Tomorrow we have the whole day to ourselves at home which I’m so thankful for right before we embark into Christmas. Sunday and Monday we’ll be gone almost all day spending time with our families. Lots of presents and delicious food and collapsing on our wonderful couch after it’s all over. And the radar is predicting possible snow! It promises to be a Christmas for the books.
Since Monday is Christmas, I’m skipping the weekly What We’re Eating post so check back Tuesday for your regular programming.
Have a great weekend and a very merry Christmas!
