What We’re Eating

Happy new year! Anyone else doing this morning a little more bleary eyed than usual? After a nice weekend at home and a big ol’ party last night to ring in the new year, I’m filling up my coffee cup again. And yes, I’m working today. My week off last week was such a good time to read and plan and rest. Now I’m feeling ready to get some things done! There’s no better time to take a vacation than the end of the year in my opinion. It’s so good to have some time to reflect on the year behind, the good and the bad, and make some plans for the one to come. Come back later this week to see what my resolutions are for 2018!

I’m doing my best to make our menu as cozy as possible. With the snow and frigid temps outside, it’s nice to sit down to something hot and delicious in the candlelight in the evening. Especially when you’ve been out running errands and working all day. I hope you aren’t afraid of carbs.

Monday: Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese
Tuesday: In the Pantry
Wednesday: Gouda Grits with Brown Butter Shrimp
Thursday: Pretzels and Beer Cheese Dip
Friday: Dinner and games with our small group!
