What We’re Eating

Oh man! What a fun crazy exhausting weekend! Having house guests is one thing… but when one of your house guests is fourteen months old, it’s a whole different ball game. We played with all the things that aren’t breakable. We visited the kitty a thousand times. We watched Veggie Tales and read books. She took a nap and I should have. And when she was put to bed, we stayed up till two with my sister-in-law, eating this chocolate fondue with all the dipping things I could gather (bananas, leftover lemon cake, oreos, peeps and pretzels). We also went to see my sister’s choir concert, which was basically the best thing of the year so far, and yesterday we went to the north side after church to pick up one of the bathroom mirrors. Let me tell you, all the running and late nights have me totally beat today. That being said, I will not pass up the opportunity to go to At Home with my mother. New favorite store with one of my very favorite people? Yes please!

What are you making this week? I have a Kentucky Bourbon Cake on the cake plate and I’m trying to get back in the habit of having cut up veggies readily available in the fridge for lunch and dinner. I guess they call that balance. Also, I’ve been wanting to try that Fish Taco Bowl for a while so I’m making it when my sister comes for dinner and watercolors this week. Otherwise, we’re keeping it pretty simple over here. More cleaning and painting, less cooking.

Tuesday: In The Pantry
Wednesday: Fish Taco Bowls
Thursday: Bacon and Eggs
Friday: Pizza with our small group

Currently I’m looking for some delicious easy carb-less meals to eat for lunch and possibly dinner. I’m loving cheddar and apple wrapped in turkey at the moment. What’s your favorite carb-less recipe?
