When I was a kid, my mom kept gardens. Some years we had a vegetable garden with tomatoes and corn and beans. To this day, she has beautiful flower gardens that she clips and snips for herself and others. But whatever the garden, they always required getting dirt under your nails and sweating under the hot sun. As a kid, all I wanted to do was hang out in the A/C with a library book. As an adult, with my own home and my own yard, I find that I have some of my mother’s gardening blood myself. While I still love reading in the cool A/C, I’ve come to love gardening. Getting dirt under my nails and sweating under the hot sun, especially when you bring in a slew of cucumbers and tomatoes to show for it. Since I haven’t been at it very long myself, I’m eager to soak up the knowledge that gardening requires and I have quite a few gardening books on my wish list. Here are some of the prettiest ones that I’m hoping to add to my collection soon. Both vegetable garden and flower garden related.
Do you garden? Veggies or flowers?
