I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Moms are the easiest to buy for. Flowers, tea, new gardening gloves, they’re thrilled with just about anything as long as it’s from you. So since you can go anywhere and find gift guides for your mom, I’m making my gift guide a little different this year.
Other than the holidays, there is one day of the year that particularly pricks at us childless. Mother’s Day. When children are laid on your heart, there’s nothing to do but count how many years you’ve been without them. It’s six years for me. And it’s a rough day when the women around you are getting their Mother’s Day flowers and Mother’s Day cards and most of all, Mother’s Day hugs from little arms. So if you think of it this year, maybe send that woman struggling with infertility a card. Or better yet, a gift. Just to acknowledge her pain and her strength and remind her that she’s just as important without kids. Here are a few ideas for you to consider.
