My Skincare Routine

Guys, skincare has been a long and rough journey for me. Since my teen years, I’ve struggled with acne and oily skin. I’ve been through soap after toner after moisturizer, looking for some combination that will help me combat my problem areas and take good care of this skin of mine. And finally, in the last year, I’ve landed on a simple solution that has helped me get things under control. Here’s what I’m using these days.

Every day, I wash my face morning and night with Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Castile Bar Soap. I know, it’s a mouthful. I first started using Dr. Bronner’s soap in liquid form in my house cleaning. When I found this bar, I figured, why not try it out? It smells amazing and a bar lasts me several months, making it worth the expense.

A few months ago, I ran out of the moisturizer I was using and I really got tired of paying bucks for little containers of face cream stuff. So I decided to give Cetaphil a try. And I love it so much! I put it on at night before I go to bed and my face feels soft and smooth as a result.

Years ago, I read some benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar for skin and I’ve never gone back to acne specific treatments. Whenever my face starts to break out due to hormones or a vacation diet, I put some ACV on the affected area and within about two days, it’s gone. It’s the miracle skin product.

I’m currently looking at a new way to remove makeup instead of buying the makeup wipes but that’s more of a money thing and less of a skincare thing. And that’s it! With all the makeup that goes on my face, it feels good to have a simple skincare routine that is mostly natural and works well for me. Let me know if you give that castile soap a try!
